This biggest adventure you can ever take is to live the life of your dreams. - Oprah
I was apprehensive at first. I am an 'all or nothing' kinda girl and I don’t like carrying around multiple books, so how does one do their future planning in a BuJo? Thankfully I combatted that issue quite quickly. I used the first 24 pages to create monthly spreads. I am a monthly spread person anyway. So this was perfect. I was then left with a seemingly never-ending amount of blank pages that were quite intimidating. But thanks to two lovely ladies on instagram: @boho.berry and @tinyrayofsunshine I found my BuJo inspiration. Please CHECK THEM OUT… no not now… after you finish reading my blog… but then check them out.
Now, I know the BuJo isn't supposed to be about future planning but I can't help it. I know I wouldn't be fully committed to the BuJo system if I didn't have a monthly spread and a whole year of them at that. I also don't particularly enjoy the weekly and daily to do lists so I've adapted them as well to just insert master 'To Do' lists when I need them.
For me the BuJo is more about helping me to become a better person this year. I want to have less anxiety and stress. I don't know how possible this is considering I am about to go into my first year of teaching. Apparently this is the worst year of teaching! But I think I can handle it. I am working very hard on developing a belief in myself.
To start my BuJo off:
I created my 2016 goal list on my first page. I categorised these goals into: Mind, Body, Career, Relationship and Personal. I'll include photos at the end so you can have a sneak peak into my world!
I have also started to include things like my "capsule wardrobe plan" and some notes from the book "Miracle Mornings" by Hal Elrod. I am not endorsing this book in any way and I am not getting cash for sprucing it. But it is an amazing book so far. I am halfway through and I completed my first 'miracle morning' this morning. It was amazing. But I'll save this for a separate post.
Anyway, I'm not really sure what else to write. Maybe I'll open it up to anyone who is reading this... What do you want me to do a blog post on?
Much love always,
Em xx
